Wellness Center – The University of Central Oklahoma created a 57,342-square-foot wellness facility for use by its community, teachers, staff, and students. In March 2003, the wellness facility opened its doors with four staff members. Over 50 staff members and students work at the UCO Department of Welfare and Sports.
The facility includes offices, classrooms, locker rooms, a group fitness room, a fitness center with a treadmill, and a gym with two full-size basketball courts.
All Department of Health and Sports facilities will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Spring Break, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and winter holidays. In addition, the UCO Wellness Center will also be closed when the university is closed due to inclement weather.
